Bitto's First Job privacy
Last updated 22 October 2026.
Bitto's First Job is made by Uncle Matt Makes. It sends a few anonymous play stats while you play, so I can see where levels are too hard or too confusing, and fix them. Nothing in them says who you are.
What the game sends
- When a level starts, when you finish it, and when you leave the game (and how long you'd been in that level).
- Where in a level Bitto fell or got knocked out, to the nearest meter.
- A few first-time moments: your first jump, your first game fetched, your first trip home, and finishing the first day.
Each one carries the version of the game, whether your browser draws it with WebGPU or WebGL2, the graphics setting it picked (low, medium or high), and whether you last used a keyboard, a mouse, a gamepad or a touch screen. The server also notes which site the game was played on (CrazyGames or my own) and the browser's name, like Chrome or Firefox, without its version.
Each visit gets a random code that ties that visit's stats together. It's made fresh every time the game loads and never saved on your device, so I can't tell whether two visits came from the same person.
What it doesn't
- No name, email address, account, location or device id.
- No cookies, and nothing kept in your browser's storage for the stats.
- The server sees your IP address while it receives the stats, like any website does. It doesn't keep it or log it.
- Your progress in the game is saved in your browser, on your own device. It's never sent to me.
- No ad or analytics companies. The stats are stored with Cloudflare, which hosts the server, and only I can read them. I don't share them or sell them.
- The stats are deleted after 12 months.
I don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Turning it off
On my own site, add ?stats=0 to the end of the game's address, like
bitto.ummgames.com/?stats=0, and it sends nothing.
Playing on CrazyGames
If you play Bitto on CrazyGames, the same stats are sent from there. CrazyGames has its own privacy policy for what it collects (for example, for its ads). This page only covers what the game sends to me.
The email list
The Bitto email list is separate from the game, and it's for players 13 and older. If you join it, your email address is kept by Kit, the newsletter service, and used only to send Bitto news. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
